Julian Jay Burton

as Detective Jordan Long

Writer, Producer, Director

Known for his award winning web-series "Bermuda City" and feature film "Dormant," Julian Jay Burton is an American filmmaker and writer, his skills and experiences in drama serving him well in enriching his fiction. Burton's love for prose centers on novels, but he also writes short stories, poetry, graphic novels, playwrights and screenplays. He has a deep passion for music and since his early youth has written numerous songs in the realms of R&B and Rap. Burton tested the waters of acting, studying theatre at the Black Box Theatre in Decatur, Alabama. He excelled in roles such as Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, Jesus Costazuela in The Female Odd Couple, and the lead in Shakespeare's Othello. Burton is a professional filmmaker, comic publisher, acting coach and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut in the short film Abate and has went on to produce a number of feature films including Black Heart, Pandora, Dormant and web-series, Bermuda City. Burton is the founder and CEO of film company Bermuda Image, comic company Red Crow Comics, and co-founder of publishing firm Blue Throne Creative. He is also the writer and creator for action comics Salta and Bermuda City. Whenever he is not acting or writing, Julian is to be found playing a competitive game of backyard football or watching his favorite team, the New England Patriots. When asked, "What category in entertainment do you plan to make a mark on?" You can definitely count on receiving his trademark wink and answer, "I'm doing it all..."


 

Tom Hagale

as Arthur Huff

Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, Tom graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 1979 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. But from a very early age, Tom showed a great interest and talent for the arts. He started piano lessons at the age of 8. At the age of 14, and armed with his parents’ 8mm movie camera, Tom began making films, which he continued to do throughout high school and college, and into adulthood. He is also an accomplished artist and sculptor and transitioned to painting in oils at the age of 11. In 1981 while working in St. Louis, Tom made his acting debut as the lead in an award-winning student film, A Day in the Life, by his good friend and filmmaker, George Hickenlooper. In 1982, Tom executive produced another Hickenlooper student film, Newark Needs Insurance, for which he also composed, performed and recorded the musical soundtrack. After moving to Southern California, Tom enrolled in an acting class taught by Guy Stockwell, a seasoned Hollywood character actor and mentor. Encouraged by Guy’s thoughtful coaching, Tom made his stage acting début in 1987, singing and dancing as a sailor in the Redondo Beach Community Theater production of “South Pacific” in 1987. He continued with the community theater to play the roles of both Mr. Jenkins and Benjamin Burton Daniel Ovington, in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” in 1988. Since moving to Huntsville, Alabama, Tom has enjoyed performing in independent films, television ads, and industry videos as well as performed on stage with the Huntsville Theater. Most recently Tom appeared in the Jay Burleson short film, Glass House, produced for the Sidewalk Film Festival Scramble, and as Michael Winslett in the Julian Jay Burton psychological thriller, Pandora.
 

Bernadette Chapman

Bernadette Chapman grew up in the Dayton, Ohio area where she spent most of her first 18 years underwater. When she wasn’t swimming, chances are you could find her at the movies. Her father was an avid fan of Humphrey Bogart and the Bowery Boys and passed on his passion to his eldest daughter. Bernadette attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, graduated in ’84 with a BS in Radio/TV. She spent the next seven years in D.C. and Baltimore working in television, and doing a little acting in local theater. In 2006, her dear friend, Larry Holden asked her to produce and act in his indie, “All Sun & Little White Flowers," which starred her daughter, Sadie. Since then she has acted in, produced, written and directed over thirty productions.


 

Nayeon Kim

as Kaiyo Long


 
Nayeon Kim was born in South Korea, and is bilingual. While attending high school and college, she was heavily involved in music and art programs. She has always enjoyed performing since she was very little, especially in talent shows and twirling flags/dancing in football games. After graduating college, she started working in Disney World, and was selected as Princess Mulan, which led her to pursue acting.

Mia Chin

Mia, the youngest of two, is extremely proud to be a cast member in the film, “Dormant.” Mia hales from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a fourth grade honor student, and enjoys reading, acting and several other extra curriculum activities. Mia’s love of reading is one reason she got into acting. The characters she reads about motivated her to reach deeper into her own imagination to express herself. She often reads up to three novels per week. She has starred in several of her Preparatory School’s theatrical performances as well as skits at the Alliance Theatre, Woodruff Arts Center. Her most recent work includes a parody (short), “Cookies." Mia’s love for the arts extends to other visual mediums such as ballet and hip-hop dance. She recently auditioned for the Young Artists Choir at Spivey Hall, Clayton State University and will continue into her fourth year of playing the piano. Mia’s interests also include: tennis, swimming and, as she put it, “just being a regular kid.” When she is not working or doing schoolwork, her favorite pastime is hanging with her family, friends and dog, Spartacus. She ultimately hopes to take her bright, engaging personality into a long and successful acting career.

Jim Donaldson

as Dr. Hamilton

James studied fine arts at Boston University School for the Arts and Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts in Massachusetts. He is credited in theatre productions "Gypsy" as George, "A Chorus Line" as Ritchie and "Damn Yankees" as a Baseball Player. James has also tested his craft in faith based movie "Stand" as Pastor Humphrey, Herman Valkerie in the sci-fi thriller "Tommy Gun" and Dr. Clemons in the psychological thriller "Pandora." James is an interior designer outside the entertainment world. He is also an animal lover and musician.

Tom Parnell

as Nigel Goodman

Tommy Parnell began his acting 30 years ago in the courtrooms of Florida. He is a Personal Injury Civil Trial lawyer and has tried hundreds of cases in his career. He has authored many songs, poems and short stories but when his youngest child left for college in 2012 he decided to try his hand at writing screenplays. He met film maker Mark Savage in Los Angeles and soon they became writing and business partners. Together they have written 10 screenplays and this past July Tommy realized a lifetime dream when he produced and acted in a screenplay he wrote, “120 over 80, Stressed to Kill.” In November 2013 he began his acting career in a supporting role in a feature film and he was hooked. He came back to Tampa and began training with Kathy Laughlin at the Performers Studio Workshop. While Tommy is committed to pursuing writing and acting he has no plans to quit his day job. He says that the law is his wife and the arts are his mistress.

Perry Ball

as Police Chief Bill Godsey

Perry Ball, born Perry Henry Ball in Seneca Missouri on December 21, 1953 to Mary E and Charley W Ball. He moved to Palisade Colorado with his family in 1954 where he was raised as the youngest of seven children. He is a graduate of Grand Canyon University In Phoenix Arizona with a BA in History & Religion, and has a Masters in Divinity with Languages from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He has been married to Wanda Dell Ball for 38 years, has three grown children and three grandchildren. Having worked a number of jobs while getting his education, he had careers in Social Work and as a bi-vocational pastor. He spent the last 10 years before retirement teaching at a local college and refurbishing computers to give to foster children. Throughout his life, he has had an interest in the arts. He performed in theatre during high school, had his own radio show called "Thought for Today," and had various appearances on stage and television. In recent years Perry performed as a background actor on several television shows and movies. His has had leading and co-staring roles on shows such as Melody, Killing Yourself, Postal, and Dormant. He currently plays Tim Morrison on the television series “Realm” filming in Wilmington North Carolina.

Faith Bruner

Faith Bruner grew up near Birmingham, AL in the Dora/Sumiton area. Growing up in a rural area gave her the benefits of lots of time outside to explore the woods, hear interesting stories, read, listen to music, and watch movies. She’s always had an intense interest in archaeology and anything old. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a double major in anthropology and classics. She then married her college sweetheart and started a family. It wasn’t until after having her second child that Faith began pursuing acting. By watching Inside the Actor’s Studio and reading books on acting, she soon realized she had an intense interest in the art. She became an extra on the set of a feature film being filmed in Huntsville, Space Warriors. That’s when she realized her passion for acting, and decided to seriously pursue the craft. She began taking professional film acting classes at the Bill Billions studio at Hollywood Huntsville, and soon began getting roles in local films and videos. Faith’s most recent work includes the lead role in the official music video for the song “Surrender” by the Christian rock band Nine Lashes. She was a lead as “Jill” in the short film, “The Substitute,” which won Best of Festival and 1st in Category at the River City Film Festival in 2014, as well as 3rd Place and was an Audience Choice finalist at the Rocket City Short Film Festival in 2013. She was also a lead actor in a contest video for the Civil Wars song, “20 Years,” which was a finalist and Genero.tv staff pick. Faith currently lives in Huntsville, AL with her husband, two small children, and her newest addition born in May, 2014. She is busy with homeschooling her children, continuing her studies at Hollywood Huntsville, and fulfilling her dreams by acting in film.

Amber Troglen

as Agent Sara Goodman

Amber Troglen is an Alabama native who jumped in the Birmingham production scene right out of high school. She began doing make up which led to modeling. Her print work turned to some runway work that evolved into a few TV commercials. Amber has served campaigns for banks, universities, construction firms, sporting events, USPS. Always grounded, Amber stayed true to her back-up plan by obtaining her LPN degree. Commercial work introduced her to indie film makers. Amber appeared in “E=MC3,” a quirky sci-fi short that was shown in nine international film festivals. She was a supporting actor in the full length indie drama “Under the Influence” and an extra in “Rustin.” Amber portrayed the notorious Audrey Marie Hilley for an episode in the Japanese television show “The World's Astonishing News!” She played a minor role in the major motion picture release of “World Traveler.” A wife and mother of three, she has spent the last decade as a dermatology nurse. Amber has been consistently involved in production work, squeezed in a few trips to Paris & Cannes and even earned a yoga teaching certificate. She lives with her family in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ann Lukens

as Agent Natali Cox

Ann Lukens began acting on stage at age 10, playing such diverse roles as Christopher Robin in Winnie The Pooh, and Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Old Lace. In college, Ann found another passion in the local rescue squad and she also finished her college degree is octal work. In 2009, Ann decided to return to acting. Training in Atlanta at Creative Studios, and in Nashville at Alan Dysert's Actors' School, Ann has laid the groundwork for performing in film, stage, television and for hosting. Building on years of experience as a public affairs representative for a nonprofit and years of making statements for live news, talk show appearances and video, Ann went to New York and studied hosting with Patricia Stark. Ann also has years of teaching and conducting workshops under her belt, and is an award winning public speaker. Presently a paramedic and rescue technician certified on the Jaws of Life, as well as an Emergency Vehicle Operator and Precision Driver, Ann works part time for her county Emergency Medical Services department as a first responder and a paramedic. She also volunteers with the local fire department and the American Red Cross. Ann has worked as a medical technical advisor as well.

Blaine Burdette

as Agent Kenneth Dalton

Born in the South but has been a traveler since the age of 5. Blaine resided in many places of the world due to his father’s mobile career. While attending High School in the Deep South, he received a football scholarship and went on to get my MBA. Blaine worked hard and played hard while learning the art & sport of Polo in which he’s still a rated player by the USPA. Burdette has years of training under Oscar nominated actor Burt Reynolds and still regularly attend his Master teaching class.

Bruce Green

as Agent Jerry Ferguson

Bruce spent the early part of his life in Kingsport TN and other areas of the East Tennessee region. At the age of 26 he moved to Western North Carolina to take a job in the health field. Since then he has worked in: Recruitment, Automobile Dealerships, Real Estate sales, Package Delivery and Insurance sales. Finally, he completed the core program at NYS3 Acting Conservatory at Asheville in May 2014, and has since pursued an acting career. Bruce and his family still live in Western North Carolina in Asheville.

Dallas La Grand

Dallas is a vibrant 7 year old in the 2nd grade at Harvest Elementary School. This is Dallas’s first production as a featured extra. Dallas recently competed in the Huntsville Talent Explosion Fashion Show and placed 1st in the modeling contest. In December of 2013, she was cast in “A Seussified Christmas Carol” and performed at the Fantasy Playhouse. Dallas is enrolled in Drama Club and was cast in the upcoming play “The Unprincess.” She loves to sing, dance, model and act. She aspires to be an actress one day.

Nicholas Willis

as Agent Shawn Elliot

Nicholas Willis started acting in 2009. With the help of a local talent agency he landed roles on Vampire Diaries, Drop Dead Diva, and the tv show Past Life. Since then he has done many theatre plays and short films. He is currently studying at Hollywood Huntsville to further his craft.

Amanda Miserocchi

as Mandi Huff

Amanda Miserocchi was born in Brentwood, Tennesse and is very involved with Theater. Dormant is her first feature film. As a student of the arts, Amanda like to test her craft with various genres and characters. She also loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Kaiden Scott

as Keith Cox

Kaiden Scott is a ten year old boy from Nashville, TN. If he’s not practicing parkour or drawing, chances are he’s performing. For the last two years, Kaiden has been working with Talent Trek Agency and Heyman Talent. He has appeared in commercials for Toyota, Newport Aquarium and the CMA Awards as well as several short films and a web series for Norton Healthcare. Most recently he did a print ad campaign for Cracker Barrel and an episode of Snapped: Killer Couples for the Oxygen Network.

Marcus Ferrell

Marcus Ferrell studied Telecommunications at Alabama A&M Univeristy and went on to venture into the industry of film. With a background in dance and music, Marcus exercised his on-set skill as a 1st Assistant Director. Past productioins include a number of music videos and short film "Dead Saturday."

Latosha Baldwin

2nd Assistant Director, Hair and Makeup

Born in Geneva, New York to Deborah Dixon and Vicente Aflleje Tajalle, we knew she was destined for success. Her beauty was captivating and at a very young age, Latosha was known to be the center of attention. Always singing and dancing and making sure she was seen, she joined her church choir and participated in church plays. Soon after, she began to play the alto saxophone in her middle school band and became a singer/actress in her middle school show choir. As she grew older, she began to switch gears; she realized she wanted to help affect change in the lives of those less fortunate. She decided she would help people by becoming a Social Worker and Counselor. Latosha attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama and while she majored in Social Work, she still had the acting bug. She decided to minor in Theater. She began working in her field and took a short hiatus from acting. After that, she moved back to Huntsville, Alabama to pursue her Masters in Counseling Psychology. In 2007 she graduated but still there was something missing. In 2011, she decided to take the plunge again and began acting classes at Hollywood Huntsville. She has now been in several short films, commercials and theatre productions.


 

James Ryan Sims

Whenever James would call anyone remotely involved with film and video productions, they would seem to hear over the phone that my name was Ryan Films. The F and S sound just alike across the limited audio bandwidth of phones. So hence, James started calling his production company RyanFilms. James is an electrical engineer and lives in north Alabama. He travels around the world doing freelance work on all sorts of audio, video and control systems for theme parks and museums. When not programming, James is writing, producing, filming and editing feature length or short films.

Scott Price is a Alabama native with work at Universal Studios in feature "Dune." Scott has a miliatry background and an endless desire to pursue film.

Brooklyn Hope

Assistant Hair and Makeup

Born in Decatur, Alabama to supportive parents Trish and Tom Dollman, Brooklyn Dollman always had a place in her heart for makeup. At a very young age, doing makeup and transforming peoples' image was what most interested her. She was always getting into her mother's makeup and her father was always willing to be her makeup model. She's always had a knack for theatrics and, growing up her dream was to be an actress in film or on Broadway. In 2009, Brooklyn attended Barbizon modeling classes in Birmingham, Alabama and there she learned basic makeup artistry and tried her hand in acting. In her sophomore year of high school, she took theatre classes and got a lead role in the school play. She has always been a little shy, but never lost interest in the theatrical arts. After graduating East Limestone High School in 2013, Brooklyn started attending classes at Calhoun Community College and started the Esthetics program in her second year. She started working as a makeup artist on set in her second semester after starting Esthetics and enjoys being behind the scenes. After considering many career options, it was makeup artistry that won her heart and she hopes to go on pursuing makeup artistry as a career.

Howard Rochelle

Originally a North Alabama native, young Howard Rochelle has already begun to make a name for himself in the entertainment spotlight. As a young child, Howard first showed natural ability when he taught himself how to play guitar at age 13. Going on to perform at local and family events, Howard was developing the ability to capture an audience. Introduced to the industry in 2012, his early teens, Howard began his career modeling in southern cities such as Jackson, MS; Huntsville, AL; and Atlanta, GA. While working on his modeling career, Howard gained the attention of local production companies, opening him to the acting and filmmaking side of the entertainment industry. As his passion grew and his opportunities expanded, Howard began to appear in multiple forms of entertainment such as fashion shows, short films, commercials, and full-length films. Presently, Howard is working in a multi-media production studio in Huntsville and is continuing to appear across multiple forms of media, striving to build his skillset.

Willam Swindall

William Swindall was born in Gadsden, Alabama. He is currently studying to be a mechanical engineer at University of Alabama in Huntsville. He volunteers on sets and was a background extra in Pitch Perfect 2. His other hobbies include gaming, camping, building or fixing things, and exploring.

Casey Smith

Casey Smith was born in Mobile Alabama. She currently is a Graphics Design Major at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She has a passion for all art forms,especially film production and acting. She volunteers on sets and is currently pursuing acting. She has been a background extra in pitch perfect and is currently taking acting classes with Alexia Robinson Studio. Her other hobbies include photography, Graphics Design, camping, and traveling.

Rafal Gościmiński

Born in Torun, Poland, Rafal Gościmiński has scored music for films, television and games. Since his early childhood, Rafal has been obsessed with various forms of art such as films, games and especially music. Starting from the interest in electronic sounds, with time he fell in love with the tone of orchestras from movies and video game soundtracks. With high-quality samples, VST synthesisers and the technology of today, he's able to provide realistic orchestral compositions as well as hybrid/electronic music in a wide variety of styles such as action, romantic, drama or comedy.

Petteri Sainio

Composer

Petteri Sainio started his musical career at the age of 5 when he learned to play the classical guitar. From that point on, he started playing at various live concerts, gaining more and more experience from professional musicians. These experiences led him to become interested in everything from Jazz to orchestral film music. Today Petteri Sainio plays numerous instruments and also composes orchestral pieces, a hobby he started at the age of 16 when he became fascinated with the power and expressiveness of orchestral film scores. He has already taken part in many different projects covering everything from composing music for web series or film trailers to producing film scores for various short films. Rayshaun Thompson

Born in Massachusetts by way of Connecticut, Rayshaun Thompson began the journey of music production over 9 years ago. He has worked with a host of major and indie music artist in various genres spanning from pop, rock, and hip hop. In 2011 undertaking film scoring has allowed the expansion of expression in sonic form for film. His unique approach to ambient sound and instrument design creating sonic textures unique to film scoring industry shows just how diverse and talented he is. His music has been used in several national ad campaign, and most recently, the Oscar nominated film The theory of Everything. As a record producer and film composer he has magnified the human condition through sound taking us all on an audible voyage of human emotions. Rayshaun’s influences included Harry Gregson-Williams, Benjamin Wallfisch, Hans Zimmer, Tyler Bates and Edward Greig to name a few. In this short period he has scored 2 feature films, 10 short films in addition to software demos for numerous companies. His dedication to artistic production has generated a level of consistency that would fully encompass the world as it is and going to be for years to come.
